IshraqaYou can delete your Ishraqa account and all data linked to it at any time, in one of two ways:
In the app
- Open Ishraqa and sign in.
- Go to Account.
- Tap Delete account, then confirm.
Your account and its data are deleted within moments and cannot be recovered afterwards.
If the app is no longer on your phone
Send a request through our contact page, choosing "Delete my account" and using the email registered to your account. We will verify it, delete the account within 30 days, and confirm by email.
What is deleted
- Your account and email address
- Your public profile: name, photo, bio and links
- "Your Culture" posts and images, comments and replies, likes, reactions and mentions
- Your voice recordings in "Echo" and their covers, and voice notes in clubs
- Your class homework with its recordings, attachments and voice feedback, plus your grades, attendance and certificates
- Reading sync and "My highlights"
- Your memberships, competition entries and votes, developer-club stand-ups and mentorship requests
- Follows, reports and block lists
- Notification tokens and your notification inbox
What may remain
- Encrypted backups for up to 30 days, then deleted automatically.
- If you own a Space or club, ownership passes to its admin or moderator, otherwise to the longest-standing member; a Space with no other members is deleted with its files.
- Space files and posts you uploaded as an admin, and developer-club tasks, remain with the Space or team without your name.
- Sponsorship requests: contact details, message and logo are erased, an individual's name is replaced with "Former sponsor", and unassigned requests are withdrawn; the record of an assigned sponsorship stays with our team.
- Support conversations: kept without your name or email and unlinked from your account for up to one year, then deleted.
- Anonymous aggregate statistics not linked to you, such as article read counts.
- Data stored only on your device, such as favorites and mood notes, which is removed when you uninstall the app.
